چکیده
The article describes our experience with a method for an automatic identification of image semantic, which is applied to the coking plant Mittal Steel Ostrava, the Czech Republic. The image retrieval algorithm is based on Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) and involves Singular Value Decomposition of a document matrix. Numerical experiments on a real data collection indicates feasibility of the here presented approach as a tool for modelling of human expert behaviour in hard industry environment. The description of the industrial environment is given.

Feasibility Study of Using Adsorbent Plants to Remove Heavy Metals from Wastewater of Petrochemical Industry (Razi Case Study of Tehran)
Background & objectives: Since many plants have high efficiency in absorbing heavy elements, the use of phytoremediation is of great importance. The purpose of this study is to identify native plants that absorb heavy metals. Also, the possibility of using them in phytoremediation technology in soils contaminated with heavy metals (around the petrochemical industry of Razi fertilizer in Tehran ...
متن کاملModelling and Control of Computational Processes Using Max-plus Algebra
In this paper we propose a modelling technique for the control of computational processes. The Petri Net model, particularly a Timed Event Graph (TEG) can be used for analyzing. The proposed model enables the determination of state equations. The max-plus algebra represents linear algebraic form of discrete systems and supplies new tools to their modelling. We develop a linear mathematical mode...
متن کاملUsing Computer Algebra to Choose and Apply Numerical Routines
In applied mathematics, electronic and chemical engineering, the modelling process can produce a number of mathematical problems which require numerical solutions for which symbolic methods are either not possible or not obvious. With the plethora of numerical library routines for the solution of these problems often the numerical analyst has to answer the question Which routine to choose? and ...
متن کاملLighthouse: A User-Centered Web Service for Linear Algebra Software
Various fields of science and engineering rely on linear algebra for large scale data analysis, modeling and simulation, machine learning, and other applied problems. Linear algebra computations often dominate the execution time of such applications. Meanwhile, experts in these domains typically lack the training or time required to develop efficient, high-performance implementations of linear ...
متن کاملApproximate Subdivision Surface Evaluation in the Language of Linear Algebra
We present an interpretation of approximate subdivision surface evaluation in the language of linear algebra. Specifically, vertices in the refined mesh can be computed by left-multiplying the vector of control vertices by a sparse matrix we call the subdivision operator. This interpretation is rather general: it applies to any level of subdivision, it holds for many common subdivision schemes ...
